Kim Nam Joon, best known by his stage name RM, is a South Korean actor. He is a rapper, composer, and record producer from Korea. Rap Monster is RM’s full name.

Initially, he was known as Rap Monster, but Kim Nam Joon believes that Rap Monster would not last long, thus in November 2017, he officially changed his name to RM and determined RM with “Real Me.”

RM is a member of BTS, a seven-member South Korean boy group formed in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment. The group’s name means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”.RM is a member of the hip hop group BTS (방탄소년단).

Career

RM auditioned for Big Deal Records in 2009 and passed the first round, but he forgot all of the lyrics in the second round. Following the audience, though, rapper Sleepy exchanges phone numbers with RM. This exchange allows RM to meet celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Soon after, his group BTS debuted in 2012 with “No More Dream” (2012) as their first single. They released the EP, “2 Cool 4 Skool” (2013), before their debut album, “2 Cool” (2013), was released. In 2014, they released their second EP, “O!RUL8,2?” (2014), and their third EP, “Skool Luv Affair” (2014).
